“The fittings donated by NET LED have greatly benefited the club and have helped us to create the ideal learning environment for our members.”
Torbay Olympic Gymnastics Club is a not-for-profit Community Amateur Sports Club, based in Devon. Established in 1982, the club has a fully equipped sports centre, from which it runs a variety of classes and sessions for over 1200 members, including gymnastics, trampolining, cheerleading and martial arts. The club welcomes all abilities and special needs in a safe, fun and friendly atmosphere.
After taking on two units next door to their original premises, the club needed to refurbish the space to suit its wide variety of activities and create a safe and welcoming environment for its members. LED lighting was a key requirement for the refurbishment as it would offer the club increased energy savings and improved, diffused light.
LED NCF Luminaires, Battens and 2D Bulkheads, supplied by NET LED, were installed throughout both units, covering the gym facilities and waiting rooms.
As part of its social responsibility, NET LED supports worthy causes and charities. Knowing the importance of Torbay Olympic Gymnastics Club to the local community, particularly its work with children, the company donated the lighting to the club. NET LED Director Paul Bubb said, “we’re very proud to be involved in this project and to offer our support to the club and the fantastic work it does to promote sports and a healthy, active lifestyle.”
Since the installation, the club has seen a vast improvement in light quality, with instructors and club members noticing improved visibility during classes and a brighter, more welcoming overall environment.
Head Coach, Mark Pocock commented, “The fittings donated by NET LED have greatly benefited the club and have helped us to create the ideal learning environment for our members”.
