Downside Fisher Youth Club - NET LED Lighting

The Project

Downside Fisher Youth ClubBased in London, DFYC work to promote the personal, social and educational development of young people.

The club itself is not funded by the council, relying entirely on donations and funding from other sources. DFYC supports socially excluded children and young people from Bermondsey, South London and its neighbouring areas.

LED lighting was required in order to replace the existing luminaire fittings, which were a warm colour temperature of 3000K which left the sport centre feeling unwelcoming and lacklustre. Without council funding, the club was left to rely on donations to solve this issue.

The Solution

Over 70 LED NCF Luminaires and 3 Hour Emergency kits, supplied by NET LED, were installed throughout the premises, covering the main entrance, sports hall, meeting rooms, and toilets with luminaires with a colour temperature of 5500K.

As part of our social responsibility, NET LED wants to support worthy causes and charities. Knowing the importance of Downside Fisher Youth Club to its local community, particularly its work with children, we donated the lighting to the club.

The Result

Since the installation, the club has seen a vast improvement in light quality, with staff members and club-goers noticing improved visibility during classes and a brighter, more welcoming overall environment.

We have all commented as to how brilliant the new lights are and wish to thank you so much for donating the lights in the first place.
