Save Money On Energy Bills With Sensors!

Save money on energy bills with Sensors!

With energy bills going through the roof, you and your customers may be looking for ways to save more money. We have the answer for you with our Photocell, PIR and Motion Sensors available for industrial fittings, so your lights are only on when needed.

Photocell Sensors

Photocell Sensors detect the light levels outside, so your fittings will only turn on when it starts to get dark. This means that the lights will be on from dusk ‘til dawn… and the best part is, you don’t have to remember to turn the lights on and off manually!

Our Newton Bulkheads are compatible with the Photocell Kit. They can be used together in areas where light isn’t needed constantly, such as stairwells or the side of buildings.

PIR Sensors

PIR Sensors work by detecting infrared radiated from any object that can emit heat e.g., a human or an animal. Light fittings that are connected to this sensor turn on when infrared is detected. You can also set the length of time that the lights stay on after infrared is detected, saving even more! We would recommend a PIR Sensor where walls are thin – this is because infrared can’t be detected through walls, whereas Motion Sensors sometimes detect microwaves through thin walls.

We have a range of industrial fittings that are compatible with a PIR Sensor; Bury Corn Lamps, Coton High Bays, Keyston Tri-Colour Flood Lights and Ramsey High Power Flood Lights. Bury Corn Lamps are best used with PIR Sensors along aisles in warehouses. You can save money on energy by using separate Sensors down each aisle, so only the fittings down a specific aisle turn on. This saves having all the lights on in the warehouse when they may not be needed.

Coton High Bays have a non-toxic powder coated aluminium exterior making them safe to use in industrial food processing environments. The compatible PIR Sensor has daylight and corridor functions. Like the Bury Corn Lamps, this fitting can save money on energy.

Looking for outdoor industrial lighting? The Keyston and Ramsey Flood Lights can be used with a PIR Sensor outside of warehouse entrances, making them useful for deliveries at night or where visibility is limited due to weather conditions. These fittings can also save money on energy as warehouse entrances are not in constant use, so they don’t need to be on 24/7.

Motion Sensors

Connecting light fittings to a Motion Sensor means that the lights will only turn on when motion is detected within a certain radius of the sensor.

Keyston and Ramsey Flood Lights are compatible with Motion Sensors as well as PIR Sensors. We would recommend using these outside of warehouse entrances to help with visibility when receiving a delivery. Some people may prefer to use a Motion Sensor rather than a PIR Sensor so that the lights turn on when it detects any kind of movement. This makes it helpful for delivery drivers to see where they are driving in the courtyard as the lights will turn on when they enter.

Hilton Non-Corrosives are compatible with our Microwave Sensor with Standby Function. This means that they can be used in workshops and assembly areas in warehouses. The Standby Function allows you to set the time that the light will stay on after motion is detected, so you can save money on energy bills.

Newton Bulkheads have IP65 rated housing which means they can be used for outdoor fittings. They’re available in Motion Sensor which makes them perfect for pathways around industrial buildings. This means that when someone approaches the building, the lights will turn on creating a safer environment for workers and visitors to see where they’re going.
