NET LED Limited Newsletter 2021 – Quarter 4 Update

We are grateful to our loyal customers for the continued growth we have experienced over Q4. This year has undoubtedly consolidated our reputation as the back-to-back supplier of commercial and industrial LED lighting to electrical wholesalers: we love all orders – large or small. These can be placed until 6 p.m. for next day delivery to branch or site, helping wholesalers out of awkward situations!
Through these difficult months of supply chain disruption, our customers have particularly valued our large stock holding, ensuring that we have delivered their lighting over 99% on time. We have also received a lot of positive feedback, appreciating that we held our prices throughout this year until 31st December, honouring quotes and supporting wholesalers to win lighting deals. Prices will have to go up in January, so don’t miss out on a competitive advantage to get orders in before the end of the year!
As our business has grown, we have expanded our manufacturing and sales teams. Rhys Brailsford joined the production team as an Assembly Operative in October, along with Kimberley Goode, who joined as Sales Office Manager. Nicolle Surtees and Chris Brooke joined Kimberley’s team during the quarter as Business Development Managers. Most recently, Alan Phillips joined the company as Director of Key Accounts for the South of England, visiting our customers to ensure get the most out of working with us. We welcome all our new staff on board!
Some new products introduced to our portfolio during Q4 include the Ely Bollards, Coton High Bays, and Bury Corn Lamps. The quality die-cast aluminium Ely Bollards are dual colour and ideal for car parks, residential roads, and cycle paths. Coton LED High Bays are specifically designed for clean areas, with a non-toxic powder-coated aluminium exterior, making them the perfect choice for food processing plants and clean room applications. The Bury LED Corn Lamps are multi-functional, IP40 Corn Lamps available with E27 and E40 screw fits designed for warehouses and industrial applications.
Over 90% of our orders are now received online through our online order portal: www.mynetled.co.uk, which provides wholesalers immediately with extra quantity discounts and live stock availability. However, there is still a place for printed product catalogues and the new NET LED Trade Catalogue has been warmly received: containing all our new products but slimmed down with product ranges condensed to a few pages using feature comparison tables.
We are delighted to have made Quick Ordering through the myNETLED Portal even faster and have received lots of positive feedback on these modifications – thank you! This is through two key improvements: firstly, once you’ve logged in, you stay logged in on your local PC if you want to, giving you instant access to the Portal. Secondly, the Basket has been streamlined with a Quick Order function using the Tab key so you don’t have to use your mouse. Another popular modification is that the Portal now defaults to your branch address regardless of where your last order was shipped. Of course, you can still deliver to site or any UPS Access Point in the UK, at no additional cost.
Our upgraded premium delivery services mean that we can get lighting to branch or site quicker than ever. We have always offered pre 10:30 and pre 12:00 deliveries, but these are now clearly available on the myNETLED Checkout page, so you can get your order delivered pre 10:30 or pre 12:00 from as little as £3.49!
Q4 was also our most successful quarter in terms of conversions: modifying our luminaires to meet contractors’ requirements. Our conversions team have pre-installed hundreds of motion sensors and emergency kits onto our Orwell High Bays for customers – one of which was a major UK distribution centre -, thereby saving the contractors time and hassle on installation. They can simply plug and play out of the box!
