NET LED first lighting supplier to be awarded LIA Quality Assurance for Emergency Lighting
In the event of a mains power failure for whatever reason, commercial and industrial buildings should be fully equipped with emergency lighting to enable the occupants to see and be able to get out safely. Ten years ago, as one of the first suppliers of LED lighting to the UK market, NET LED recognised the need for quality, reliable emergency lighting that was fit for this purpose.
LIAQA for Emergency Lighting
The company has worked tirelessly with emergency lighting manufacturers to achieve the highest standards possible and is proud to be the first company in the UK to have been awarded Lighting Industry Association’s Quality Assurance Module 6 for Emergency Lighting – LIAQA for Emergency Lighting.
Emergency Lighting Solutions from NET LED
The emergency solutions provided by NET LED fall into two main categories. There are the maintained and sustained luminaires where the emergency system is integral to the luminaire, such as in NET LED’s very popular emergency 2D LED Bulkheads. Secondly, there is the complete range of stand-alone dedicated emergency lighting products designed purely for emergency situations such as the emergency bulkheads, downlights, escape route lighting, twin spots and exit lighting.
The LIAQA Emergency Lighting award covers these two categories, recognising that quality electronics have been implemented as well as rigorous testing processes, providing ever longer battery life and increased reliability across all NET LED’s emergency lighting ranges.
Oliver Bubb, Operations Director at NET LED, was delighted to receive this certification from the LIA. Commenting, Oliver said: “It is our company philosophy always to try to go the extra mile in everything that we do. This certificate provides independent, third-party, confirmation to our customers that we have now reached the highest quality assurance standards in Emergency Lighting, and NET LED is the first, and currently only, LIAQA audited Emergency Lighting supplier to have achieved this award. We recognise the vital importance Emergency Lighting plays in our industry for people’s safety and are proud to receive this certification.”
