About Us
N E Technology Limited (NET) manufactures and distributes a range of commercial LED (light emitting diode) lighting solutions. It trades as NET LED Lighting.
The Company was incorporated in January 2009, stemming from one of the UK’s leading digital signage manufacturers. This brought over 15 years knowledge and experience in SMD LED technologies ensuring from the outset that we only supply products that meet our customers’ stringent quality and performance demands.
NET LED Lighting makes significant investment in research and development as the Company believes in continual innovation and product improvement.
The Sales and Technical Teams meet formally each quarter to discuss existing product lines and the next generation requirements, according to feedback from the market and the latest technical developments. We were one of the first European suppliers to offer TUV approved products (the leading international body for the certification of safety and quality for products); one of the first to offer LED Tubes with rotatable end caps; one of the first to develop three hour emergency lighting packs for use with LED Tubes and LED Panel Lights; and most recently, one of the first to launch T5 LED tubes with internal drivers.
NET LED Lighting products meet CE & RoHS standards and are manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation. This means that we have direct lines of traceability for our products ensuring quality assurance standards are met. They are covered by a three year repair or replacement warranty, which may be extended to five years by end user registration, regardless of how many hours used or times the lamp may have been switched on or off during the period.
Whilst our products are very environmentally friendly in relation to conventional lighting technologies, we recognise that our manufacturing and distribution activities necessarily have an impact on the environment. We therefore work to a strict environmental policy which is independently audited by BSI in line with the Company’s ISO 14001 procedures. We partner with a next day carbon neutral delivery service for distributing our commercial LED Lighting products within the UK, and we take our waste and recycling responsibilities seriously being a WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive registered company.
Customers in the UK are covered from the Company’s facilities strategically located in the east and west, at Cambridge and North Devon. Stocks are held at our warehouse allowing next day delivery. As well as supplying direct to end users, NET LED Lighting supplies through resellers, including all the UK national wholesalers, being a preferred supplier in some cases. We also supply national facilities management companies and national electrical contractors, as well as thousands of independents.
NET LED Lighting also produces custom LED lighting solutions for OEM applications. Photometric data on NET LED Lighting products is available for use in Relux or Dialux software for modelling lighting solutions.
The advantages of NET LED Lighting over traditional methods of lighting are numerous. It uses significantly less electricity to provide the equivalent amount of light output. Savings can be as high as 80% and are typically 65% for fluorescent tube replacements, saving money for the user and carbon dioxide emissions for our planet.
Another significant saving is in maintenance and replacement costs. Products are maintenance free, with a life expectancy on most NET LED Lighting of over 50,000 hours, which is three times longer than traditional lighting technology. This provides significant financial and product savings in lighting maintenance and recycling.
NET LED Lighting products have been designed to meet all safety and performance standards and to be easy to install. They can be switched on and off manually or electronically controlled by movement or occupancy sensors. When switched on, all products will come on instantly at full performance with no flickering or humming. The products are robust with those for outdoor use being IP65 rated. NET LED Tubes have a shatterproof polycarbonate cover and contain no glass, phosphor, mercury or lead as found in fluorescent lighting, making them a popular choice for use in the food industry and in refrigeration equipment (see the NET LED Lighting Case Study at McDonald’s).
Another important benefit of NET LED Lighting is that no ultra violet (UV) light is produced, which is important for applications where UV light can be harmful such as in museums and art galleries (see the NET LED Lighting Case Study at The British Library, London).
