The project

Fish BrothersFish Brothers Group is a family owned new and used car dealership based in Swindon. Operating out of a number of dealerships in the area surrounding Swindon and specialising in Honda, Kia, Lexus, Peugeot, Renault and more; the company prides itself on quality, value and choice.

Having already installed a large number of solar panels on the roofs of their dealerships, the company was looking to further reduce their carbon footprint and energy spend by installing LED lighting in and around its premises’.

Car showrooms have certain specific lighting requirements due to the unique properties of the cars on display. For this reason, Fish Brothers was looking for a supplier with the technical know-how to complement quality LED products.

The Solution

Fish Brothers approached NET LED in 2013 with specific requirements to light the interiors and exteriors of their dealerships. NET LED worked closely with Fish Brothers to ensure the lumen output and colour temperature met the requirements of their showrooms and provided advice and technical support throughout the decision-making and installation process.

LED Tubes and Panels were selected to light the car showrooms and office areas for their light output and ease of installation. Internal drivers and long life-expectancy (50,000 working hours) made the LED solutions reliable as well as energy efficient.

LED Flood Lights were selected for the dealerships’ outdoor lighting. The high lumen output at low energy expense and weather-proof IP65 housing made them perfect for the application and maintenance-free.

LED Floods were also used in a low bay fitting within Fish Brothers’ repair garages, providing great reliable light coverage.

The Result

By incorporating NET LED’s Tubes, Panels and Floods into its energy plan Fish Brothers has started to make savings of around 65% on the costs usually incurred by lighting, and has made a significant reduction to its carbon footprint.
